Designed and created in our studio in Wales, UK, Atomic Knitting offers a wide choice of knitting and crochet stitch markers for every project. Specialising in unusual knitting accessories we are renowned for our quirky designer stitch markers and bespoke high quality range of notions, now sold worldwide.earrings

What is a Stitch Marker?

A stitch marker is a mnemonic device used to distinguish important locations on a work in progress (WIP). A marker can be used to indicate increases, decreases, pattern changes, yarn changes, aid counting blocks of stitches and more!

  • stitch counting made easy
  • minimise mistakes, saving yourself time and yarn
  • gain confidence with complex patterns
  • our markers make excellent gifts and swaps for your knitter and crocheting friends

How to use Atomic Knitting Stitch Markers

  • place the stitch marker on the needle in your right hand and then knit as normal
  • when you reach the stitch marker again, simply move it across from the right hand needle to the left - remembering of course to perform the action that the stitch marker was denoting
  • remember the marker can be placed on either side of the knitting
  • choose from split or solid rings, depending on your project, yarn and level of experience - see the FAQ

Why buy Atomic Knitting markers?

  • our markers are tried and tested by our knitting team and each set is quality checked before dispatch
  • we've been designing our bespoke markers for many years and have sold thousands of marker sets to knitters worldwide via our website and at yarn and fibre shows throughout the UK
  • we provide a range of ring sizes (from 2.5mm to 12mm) and we recommend buying the size the matches your needle size or is a maximum of 1 or 2 sizes higher than your needle size for a close fit for best results
  • using markers that have sharp split rings, are too big, that use cheap findings or are poorly made may damage the yarn and affect the final FO - there are many such markers out there
  • see our customer feedback before you purchase and for peace of mind we have a 14 day no qibble return policy
  • we are a registered UK business, trading since 2006
  • our markers and knitting accessories regularly feature in the UK knitting magazines including The Knitter, Let's Knit, Knitting, Simply Knitting, Knit Now and Knit Today to name a few.
  • buy the best, your knitting deserves it! Buy Atomic Knitting stitch markers!
